My 50 Year Journey To Reawaken My Inner Magic

Hi. My name is Burt Goldman.

Many people are surprised to know I only started photography at the age of 78. Many are even more surprised that I also started writing and painting at this age.

It was something I never had the talent for (or at least that’s what I thought)… but with my mastery of mind power techniques, I found a way to tap into and reawaken an inner magic that unleashed a creative expression I never thought I had it in me.

Above are just two of my many works of photography that are hanging on the walls of the International Hall of Photography. And, yes it really is true. I did this AT age 78.

You must be wanting to know how I mastered the secrets to mind power to awaken this creativity. Well, let me tell you, the long journey to mastering these secrets began when I was 17. It was 1945 when the inevitable letter for enrollment arrived, securing my future into the Army.

The troop ship I was on was heading to Korea. I became close to a Korean gentleman who was a practitioner of one of the ancient healing arts and a mystic. He was the first one to show me a world I never knew existed. I went from an ignorant, naive teenager, to a knowledgeable adult who had received the keys to a kingdom I felt very honored to be in. A kingdom of the mind and the spirit.

Since then I’ve learnt from many greats whenever I had the opportunity, devouring every ounce of wisdom. I’ve learnt from Kahunas in Hawaii, from the great Swami Paramahansa Yogananda and from Jose Silva.

I went on to become a Silva instructor. Integrating the nuggets of my own collected wisdom, I was soon the top Silva instructor and Jose then set me to train his instructors and graduates in advanced methods of personal development.

It was a long journey, but my experience enabled me to develop specific techniques and mental conditioning exercises. Once I saw for myself this true power of the mind, it became my mission to help others tap into the latent power of their mind and unleash their true inner magic.

After Jose passed away, I continued teaching. Shocking Harvard Study Shows That Between Age 4 and Age 20, 98% Will Lose Their Capabilities for Genius That They Were Naturally Born With

I came across a Harvard study led by Howard Gardner, the professor that revolutionized our understanding of intelligence by being the first to define intelligence into seven different dimensions.

Leading a research group at Harvard called Project Zero, Howard Gardner made another discovery that shook the ground of psychology.

They proved that almost every child is born with genius! But after the age of 20, only a mere 2% retain their talents. 98% LOSE THEIR POTENTIAL.

I call this sad phenomena the Genius Dip.

What is going on? Why does this Genius Dip happen?

SOMETHING happens during upbringing that causes 98% of children to have these abilities ERASED from their mind.

It can’t be genetic. Not when almost every child is born a genius. So if nature is not the answer, the only logical conclusion left is nurture.

But what? I asked myself the same question and after some investigation and research, the results both shocked and disappointed me.

Education Lies Nobody Should Believe — But Millions Do

If you think formal education is enough for your child, then you are one of the unfortunate millions that have been fooled.

Let me just get straight to the point: Schools are extinguishing creativity.

Now please don’t get me wrong. I don’t want to sound like I’m against education, because I’m not. In fact, two of my daughters are school teachers and I’m proud of the work they do. Education is essential and important.

But there are shortcomings of the mass education system that you have to know… otherwise you too will be lulled into thinking that mass cookie-cutter school systems are enough to develop your child into a successful well-balanced adult.

Let me tell you why I feel the mass education system is not enough.

Humanity is at the Cusp of a New Era

I believe that humanity is at the cusp of a new era.

The Flynn effect, for one, shows that generation after generation children are getting smarter and smarter than the parents before them.

We also see, particularly over the past two decades, an influx of Indigo children being born. Indigo children, called so because of the indigo aura they are said to have, display extraordinary talents with genius capabilities across multiple fields of intelligence as well as a deep sense of empathy and intuition.

Yet today’s modern society and the cookie-cutter structure of mass education is not supporting this evolution. It sticks to teaching only “paper” intelligence… and hence the Genius Dip takes rapid effect.

The Shortcomings of the Education System

Yes, while it is essential for your child to be in school, your children are going to need more than that in the world to come. They are going to need more than historical facts, geographic locations, mathematical ability, musical skills and the likes.

Those things are important BUT they will also need to know how to understand the world… how to communicate and interconnect with others… how to visualize goals and attract success.
